Its low corrosion rate in swiftly flowing brackish or seawater, coupled with remarkable resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in most freshwater environments, along with its ability to withstand various corrosive conditions, has made it extensively utilized in marine applications and other chloride solutions lacking oxidation.
