Alloy C22 is also known as Inconel 22, Aluminum Alloy 22, Hastelloy C22, or Nickel-Based Alloy 5621. Alloy C22 alloy is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with excellent resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion. It has excellent resistance to various chemicals, sea water, brine solutions, oxidizing and reducing media. In addition, its good solderability and resistance to intergranular corrosion make it ideal for chemical processing equipment, paper converting, marine, power and waste industries.
Alloy C22 main features
•Resistant to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion
•Antioxidant and reducing mediator
•Resistant to chemical processing environment, ferric acid, sea water, acetic anhydride, saline solution, etc.
•No particle boundary deposits are formed in the weld heat affected zone
•Excellent solderability
Alloy C22 application field
The alloy’s corrosion and oxidation resistance in strongly acidic environments makes it suitable for a variety of processing equipment. Some areas where this technology is used include:
•chemical processing industry
•Plating line equipment
•Chlorination system
•acid production
•Complex acidic and chemical environment
•Superalloy filler wire and covering consumables in welding
